INSTRUMENT PILOT GROUND SCHOOL
Professional Classroom-based Pilot Training for the 21st Century
No previous instrument flying experience is assumed or required, and anyone is welcome to enroll. However, students planning to take the FAA Instrument Pilot written examination will maximize their benefit if they begin this course with knowledge at the basic VFR Private Pilot level.
Upon completion, you will have received instruction in all the subject areas in which an Instrument Pilot is expected to be knowledgeable. You will be well prepared for the Federal Aviation Administration’s required Instrument Pilot (Airplane) written examination, as well as for instrument flight training. If you are already instrument-rated, you will emerge from the course with an updated knowledge of practical IFR procedures and current regulations. Whether you are a beginning instrument student or a rated IFR pilot, this course will help you fly instruments with greater safety and confidence.
